Top to Toe 5K
Course
Built for record chasers and families alike, this dirt to pavement road course begins at The Quartz Corp's Chalk Mountain and ends at Lower Street in Spruce Pine, North Carolina.
Race start
This is a point-to-point race, so participants will be shuttled from Lower Street to the race start on race morning. Please note the last race shuttle leaves at 8:30AM with the race beginning at 9:00AM.

11 and under register for free
12-18 $20
18+ $35 through Sept 30
18+ $40 starting Oct 1st and on race day

Age based discounts will be applied at checkout and are not displayed on the registration home page. All proceeds benefit the Mitchell County Chamber of Commerce.

Pre-race packet pickup is on Friday, October 23, 2026

Race day packet pickup is on Saturday, October 24, 2026
Location: 261 Locust Street, Spruce Pine, NC 28777
Time: 7:30AM-8:30AM
No packet pickup or registrations will be allowed after the last shuttle leaves at 8:30!
Where is parking & the shuttle?
Parking is available on Lower Street and the surrounding downtown area in Spruce Pine. Catch the shuttle from Lower Street beginning at 7:30AM. The last shuttle leaves at 8:30AM.

Can I walk?
Walkers are welcome with a course finish time requirement of 2 hours.
Are there restrooms?
Restrooms are available in the Lower Street courtyard and race village as well as at the Chalk Mountain mine race starting line.
