Top to Toe 5K
July 26, 2025July 26, 2025An adventurous descent from the top of a high purity quartz surface mine to the bottom of the Toe River valley.
Course
Built for record chasers and families alike, this dirt/pavement road course begins at The Quartz Corp's Chalk Mountain and ends at Lower Street in Spruce Pine, North Carolina. The race proceeds benefit Mitchell County Chamber of Commerce, NC Mineral and Gem Festival.
9:00 AM
This is a point-to-point race, so participants will be shuttled from Lower Street to the race start on race morning. Please note the last race shuttle leaves at 8:30 am with the race beginning at 9:00 am.

Each registered participant receives one free admission ticket to the NC Mineral and Gem Festival as well as a t-shirt!
